Former Grantham Town Chairman Roger Booth has accepted an invitation to become the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's new President.
The Gingerbreads say they are 'delighted' by Booth's decision to become the Premier Division club's figurehead next season.
Booth, pictured, is a local man and lifelong supporter. He is credited with steering Grantham through some of the most difficult periods in the club's history during his time as Chairman. In fact, current Chairman Peter Railton believes that without his leadership and commitment, Grantham probably wouldn't exist today.
Railton said: "The last President was George Freeston who was a tremendous ambassador for the club. Roger is well known and respected in football circles and has been a tremendous servant to this club over many years.
"I am absolutely delighted that he has accepted our invitation to be President. Just as George was, he will be our figurehead particularly on match days when we entertain visitors from other clubs."
