'Buy a Brick' boosts Blues drive

Frickley Athletic have launched a ‘Buy a Brick’ fundraising drive to help reach their 50k stadium redevelopment target.

In partnership with their local community, the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's Premier Division Blues are raising funds to build new changing and function room facilities at the 'Town End' of Westfield Lane.

The facilities will used by other sports and local interest groups but Frickley's campaigners say that despite good progress being made with nearly £18,000 raised so far, much more needs to be done to reach their target.

Their Christmas draw raised £975 and to stay on course in 2013, the club is now offering individual and corporate supporters the chance to have their names forever linked with the development by buying a brick for the building and having their name displayed on a special plaque at the entrance. The cost for individuals is £20 and £150 to local businesses.
