Along with English and European giants like Liverpool, Tottenham and Juventus, the EVO-STIK NPL First Division North club are sharing in a £150 million pot European football's governing is distributing to clubs who had players involved in the 2016 European Championships.
Thanks to former forward Adam Priestley's involvement in Gibraltar's inaugural European Championships qualification campaign ahead of last summer's tournament in France, officials at Throstle Nest are set to bank a £21,589 bonus from UEFA. After the windfall was confirmed, delighted CEO Joshua Greaves was interviewed on TalkSPORT on Friday about their former player and the club's current and planned work in their community.
Now with Alfreton in National League North, the 26-year-old former Leeds United trainee, Garforth Town, Guiseley and Shaw Lane attacker has made 13 appearances for the tiny British colony where he was born. The Reds could be the next to benefit following his switch last year as Priestley is now looking forward to pulling off an unlikely qualification for the FIFA World Cup in 2018 in Russia.

In total, 641 clubs received UEFA benefits for releasing players for qualification matches between 2014 and the finals.
