Champion manager keeps it in the family!

Curzon Ashton

Congratulations to Curzon Ashton's fans, players and officials on lifting the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division North Championship Trophy on Saturday.

Evo-Stik NPL Respect manager Phil Bradley presented John Flanagan's side with their silverware at the Tameside Stadium after they lost 3-2 at home to Warrington Town, former Nash star Scott Metcalfe scoring the winner from the half-way line with a goal worthy of winning any game with less than a quarter of an hour to go.

The champions clinched the title on Monday night with five games to spare courtesy of a 1-0 win at Harrogate Railway Athletic and Saturday's rare reverse are unlikely to dampen their celebrations this weekend. Curzon's champion manager is pictured taking time to enjoy the club's success with his biggest fans - his wife, daughter and two sons. Aaron, right, a reporter on the Manchester Evening News, later tweeted the family snap!

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's Chairman Mark Harris, together with his Directors and Officers, congratulate all at Curzon Ashton on their fantastic achievement and season of success.
