The EVO-STIK League’s Sheffield FC - the world's first football club - is celebrating a new kit and technical partnership deal with one of the globe's leading sports brands.

The First Division South club have teamed up with PUMA, unveiling a new deal on Thursday that will see the global giants supplying kits for all Sheffield FC teams as well as tracksuits and leisure wear.

It's another major boost for the Dronfield-based club who appointed the experienced Mick Wadsworth as manager during the close season and are now looking forward to kicking off in the new kit on Sunday 3 August when they take on Hallam FC at The BT Local Stadium.

In addition to supplying kit and equipment, PUMA will also be backing Sheffield's charitable foundation with various projects to help protect the grassroots of football.

The partnership with PUMA has developed in the wake of Club’s flourishing relationship with PUMA sponsored Borussia Dortmund. Late last year Sheffield FC chairman Richard Tims visited the German super club for its anniversary celebrations where he became the first representative of another club to address the so-called “yellow wall” of fans.

Club's chairman said: "This new deal is a result of a developing relationship with PUMA over the past year and a half. We are proud to work with PUMA, and that they have not only recognised our fantastic history and heritage but, at the same time recognised that our brand, as the world's first football club, is building across the globe."
