Blues supporters stepped in to help over Christmas after their Polish stopper suffered an ACL tear in the club's 1-0 win at the Owls in EVO-STIK League South on Saturday 23 December.
With £1,160 raised by 31 supporters by 7pm on Saturday, the Blues are nearly 80 per cent of the way to reaching an initial fundraising target of £1,500 for the 28-year-old on the JustGiving charity crowdfunding site.
Malkowski signed a one year extension to his contract in August to keep him at Westfield Lane until May 2018 after arriving in 2016 and helping the Blues to a seventh-placed finish. Capped by Poland in 2011 in a match against Lithuania while playing for Lechia Gdansk, the keeper's previous clubs include Wisla Tczew, Olimpia Sztum, Bytovia Bytow and Zawisza Bydgoszcz.
