FA Cup Second Qualifying Round

Fans at the all EVO-STIK League clash between Stamford AFC and Grantham Town on Saturday have been having their pictures taken with the FA Cup.

After being delivered to Kettering Road ahead of the Second Qualifying Round tie, the trophy went on display for supporters in the Daniels' clubhouse from 2pm.

Supporters can thank the Lincolnshire FA for arranging for the arrival of the historic piece of silverware. Before taking their 'FA Cup selfies', delighted officials revealed that supporters were asked to make a donation to Asthma UK in memory of local Deeping Rangers footballer Zac King who recently passed away after suffering an asthma attack.

Speaking before the iconic trophy's arrival, Stamford AFC's director of football Guy Walton said: "To have such a historic trophy here is brilliant for the club and the supporters. I am sure our fans will embrace this wonderful opportunity to have pictures taken with the trophy, and it's great that we can support Asthma UK at the same time in memory of Zac King."
