Daniels deals to refresh fans

Stamford’s fans can look forward to enjoying a better night’s sleep and a pint of branded Daniels beer thanks to two new innovative sponsorship deals with a leading local brewery and a major mattress manufacturer.

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League outfit announced the unique partnerships this week after revealing that they were also aiming to becoming an FA Charter Standard Community Club after submitting an accreditation application to the Lincolnshire FA.

The first deal will see Grainstore Brewery, Rutland's leading brewer, produce a beer exclusively for the Daniels. What's more, apart from soon being able to sample the new brew, supporters are also being asked to name the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South outfit's bespoke ale.

The Grainstore Brewery’s Peter Atkinson says the as yet unnamed Stamford AFC beer will be available locally in the Spring. He said: "We are delighted to be working alongside Stamford AFC, at a very exciting time for the Daniels. We hope that supporters and visitors alike will enjoy the beer we have created for them, in the knowledge that every drop drunk will help continue the success of the club, both on and off the pitch."

Daniels Chairman Chris Rivett said: "This is another great opportunity for the club to get involved with something a bit different, something special, with a leading local business and we are very excited by the opportunity this represents.

"The guys at Grainstore have been getting progressively involved with the club this season and we're grateful for their generous support so far. When we first started speaking about this before Christmas we both realised the potential of a special beer could be very good for both parties and we can't wait to launch it."

If the Stamford's new beer leaves fans in a need of a comfortable rest then their second deal should help and also raise further club funds. Nottinghamshire-based company Meadow Hampton are now offering supporters a special discounts on popular memory foam mattresses with five per cent off their entire range.

For every pound spent by fans, the company, which is also lining up a similar deal for cane furniture, has agreed to spend 10 per cent of each transaction in sponsorship at Kettering Road.
