Daventry strengthen in defence

Daventry Town have confirmed the return of defender Lewis Burgess from Harborough Town.

The centre-back will link up with his former teammates following his short spell with the Bees this season.

Previous clubs include Corby Town and Rothwell, where he picked up crucial non-league experience.

He rejoins Daventry, a side sitting 18th in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Midlands Division.

The re-addition of Burgess will bolster the Bees’ defence ahead of their next fixture against Yaxley at home.

He will go straight into contention for the game in front of the home support.
