Dynamo turn to Ward and Kinsey

Peter Ward and Andy Kinsey are the new joint managers of EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Loughborough Dynamo.

The duo were unveiled on Tuesday at The Nanpantan Sports Ground as the successors to Wayne Hallcro at the EVO-STIK NPL First Division South's basement club and will take charge for the first time on Christmas Thursday at Bedworth United.

In a statement welcoming the pair, who were working together at Kidsgrove Athletic at the start of the season before leaving at the end of August after a stuttering start, officials also thanked club captain Chris Gray for holding the fort since Hallcro's departure before Christmas.

A spokesman said: "The club's directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Ward and Andy Kinsey as joint first team managers. We all wish them well in their roles here at The NSG.

"The directors also wish to thank club captain Chris Gray for his sterling work in taking the helm for the past weeks, in difficult circumstances, his efforts are very much appreciated."

Ward, who's also managed Lancaster City, Nantwich Town and Newcastle Town as well as working as a number two at Southport and Stalybridge, is looking forward to teaming up with 38-year-old former Kidsgrove Athletic, Leek Town, Newcastle Town, Nantwich Town and Witton Albion forward Kinsey again to turn around Dynamo's fortunes and safeguard their EVO-STIK NPL status.

Ward said: “I appreciate the difficult position the club is in within the division, and it’s going to be a battle, but I’m really looking forward to getting started with Dynamo. Andy will be sharing the managerial duties with me, and he will also be registered as a player. He is very good as a front man, particularly at holding the ball and bringing other players into the game."

He added: “We’re both looking forward to working with club captain Chris Gray. I know Chris well, he’s very experienced and we’ve worked together before. Andy, Chris and I are all positive-minded people."
