Former Huddersfield Town academy coach Haley, pictured, left Dimple Wells by mutual consent on the eve of the club's trip to Skelmersdale United on Saturday after the transfer coup with the Unicorns second-from-bottom in EVO-STIK League North and in need of the 27-year-old striker's services.
A UEFA A licensed and elite youth development coach at the Terriers for 13 years before leaving the then Premier League new boys in 2016, Haley was thanked for his work since succeeding Richard Tracey in September in a statement on the club's website.
The Unicorns said: "Mr Haley has helped the transition of the new ownership and played a significant role in working with a squad that is competitive at this level and one that will progress over the coming months.
"In addition to his duties as first team manager, Dave Haley has helped to develop and build the youth system overseen by Unita Academy, now a successful private football training academy with over 140 kids participating in elite coaching at all ages groups. We would like to wish Dave all the very best in his future endeavours and thank him for his time with us."
