Ramsbottom United moved to within a point of fifth-placed Lancaster City in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's First Division North after a 5-0 drubbing of mid-table Harrogate Railway Athletic at the Riverside on Tuesday night, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.
Danny Warrender gave Rammy a ninth minute lead that Phil Dean doubled 10 minutes before the break. Lee Gaskell added a third just past the hour-mark and Jordan Hulme the fourth 11 minutes later, with Bill Priestley making it a nap hand with eight minutes remaining.
The only other game in the division saw Padiham move eight points clear of second-bottom hosts Wakefield after a comprehensive 3-0 away win for the Storks.
Jack Overson put the Storks in front in the 10th minute but they had to wait until the 58th minute for a second, courtesy of Danny Boyle. Michael Morrison added number three with 18 minutes of normal time to go.
