Fell welcomes Dawson

Lancaster City boss Mark Fell has welcomed hometown boy Paul Dawson to The Giant Axe.

Dawson, 20, lives a stones throw from the Dolly Blues home and he has put pen to paper on a deal to sign from Bamber Bridge earlier this week.

He joined his new team mates for training ahead of this weekend's EVO-STIK League Premier Division clash against Witton Albion.

Fell said: “We want a nucleus of local, hungry players here and Paul meets that criteria

“He’s got a good football pedigree and has been in great form at Irongate. He knows the club, the city, the lads - it’s a great fit.

"Squad wise we’ve got the balance we need now, we may still look at a defender due to Ben Hudson’s injury but I wouldn’t expect us to be doing much more business after that."

Dawson came through the academy at Morecambe and played for Kendal last season before moving to Bamber Bridge under Neil Reynolds.

Where next?

Nantwich in Fuller coup Nantwich Town have signed former Premier League striker Ricardo Fuller.
Two new club partnerships for Marine Marine have announced two partnerships with Crosby Stuart JFC and Elite Sports Academy.
