With a shared ethos and ambitions for working in the local community, the clubs announced on Thursday that they were officially linking up this summer.
As part of the partnership, Everton in the Community will be able to use Marine’s excellent facilities at The Marine Travel Arena for the award-winning sports and education programmes the charity's workers deliver in the Sefton and local area.
Already well known to the Premier League giants as the former home of Everton Ladies in the FA WSL, the ground will also host an Everton in the Community-dedicated game next season to raise valuable funds and awareness for the charity, complete with bucket collections, half-time activities and all the other attractions normally associated with their events.
The Premier Division's Mariners are delighted with the chance to forge a partnership that will see Everton support their own events and activities while helping both clubs reach their goals, as well as a wider audience.
Marine chairman Paul Leary said: “We are thrilled to be working in collaboration with Everton in the Community. We are a community club so it is great to have a positive impact in the communities we serve. Many of our fans support Everton, so there is a real synergy in working together.”
Everton in the Community's corporate partnerships manager Amanda Chatterton hailed the new relationship the clubs would enjoy while working closely together for the benefit of the city.
“This is something that is incredibly exciting for both Marine FC and Everton in the Community,” she said. “There will be so many benefits for us as a charity but we will pledge our full support to them for their events, whether that be volunteers or ambassadorial support.”
