First show of season is out now!

The EVO-STIK League's hit podcast is back on the eve of the 2017-18 campaign to build on last season's record listening figures!

After rounding off the 2016-17 campaign with a series of special live broadcasts for the play-offs to boost their best ever listening figures, the first hour long podcast looks ahead to the action in all three divisions, starting with Saturday's opening day fixtures and Sunday's clash between Stourbridge and Matlock Town.

Released for download by fans, players and officials soon after 6pm on Friday, the show was recorded at the award-winning Heaton Hops in south Manchester where host Ben Hughes was joined by BBC Manchester's Ian Burke, the Non-League Show's Swampy, Live Sports FM's Jonny Crowther, the Mid Cheshire Guardian's Andrew Simpson and EVO-STIK League social media officer James Heyes. Altrincham volunteer Richard Impey was also in attendance at the first recording with the Northamptonshire Telegraph's Jon Dunham joining the debate down the line from his sportsdesk.

Thousands of listeners are expected to download the EVO-STIK NPL Show's hit stable of weekly and monthly podcasts again this season after the play-offs coverage crowned a surge in listeners for the EVO-STIK NPL Show and two spin-off podcasts - the weekly EVO-STIK NPL Show Extra previewing the weekend's fixtures and the monthly EVO-STIK NPL Division One Show focusing on the Step 4 action.

Featuring fans, players, managers, journalists and pundits and produced by the award-winning production team behind FCUM Radio, other regular guests due to return to the shows this season include veteran Non-League boss Roy Soule and Andrew Snaith from Whitby Town Radio.

Sponsored for the fourth season running by the NPL's title sponsors EVO-STIK, all three official podcasts are available on both iTunes and Audioboom and since the start of last season, directly via their own button on the home page.
