EVO-STIK Northern Premier League new boys Daventry Town have reappointed Darren Foster as their manager nine months after he left Communications Park.
The First Division South club, transferred from the EVO-STIK League Southern in the FA's summer shake-up of the Non-League pyramid, announced Foster's return after he stepped down as manager of United Counties League outfit Woodford United.
In a statement on their website, club officials said Foster's former number two Neil Champelovier had also returned as assistant manager with the pair taking charge for the first time on Thursday night when they hosted Leighton Town in a 4-4 draw.
Officials also confirmed that former manager Allan Smart, assistant manager Ady Fuller and the recently recruited Stan Wilson had left the club.
Daventry's fans will hope Foster can repeat the success he enjoyed before resigning last term. During the 2013-14 campaign he guided the club to a memorable FA Cup first round tie at Chesterfield, the Southern League play-offs and Hillier Cup success at Sixfields.
