Glossop defender makes West Division switch

Glossop North End defender Sam Barratt has made the move to Pitching In NPL West Division rivals Hanley Town.

Barratt, a former Fleetwood Town scholar captain, became a firm favourite with supporters of the Hillmen following his arrival from Leek Town in August 2021.

He will now link up with a Hanley side sat in 12th place in the league table, five places and four points below his former employers.

Barratt has made seven appearances for Glossop so far in 2022/23.
