Fans asked to choose from ten goals before voting closed on Sunday watched and shared the clips on the NPLFA's Facebook page more than 20,000 times alone!
Since last season the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's ground-breaking and growing league wide academy has been recording all its matches for coaching and publicity purposes, the footage shot by FilmMyMatch before the clips were edited into highlights packages for viewers by MQ Video.
The result of the goal of the season competition - which was also attracted thousands of hits on the NPLFA's website and Twitter feed - are expected within days as the academy's tutors and coaches step up preparations to welcome their fourth intake of students in September.
Thanks to the new higher education partnership with Loughborough College announced in May, NPLFA students on two year BTEC courses or embarking on them this Autumn will be able to continue their education while developing their football careers within the EVO-STIK NPL.
Founded with the backing of the Football Association at five pilot clubs in September 2014 to provide career pathways into the football industry and still the only league wide academy in English football combining sport with education, the NPLFA is expanding to 13 clubs catering to more than 400 students for the 2017-18 season in September.
Mickleover Sports won the NPLFA's youth league for the third season running in May while Warrington Town's stars of the future lifted the inaugural NPLFA Cup at Stole City's Bet365 Stadium, main picture.
