Hanley Town bring in veteran defender

Nantwich Town have announced the departure of long-serving defender Joel Stair.

The ever-present centre back rejoins Hanley Town after leaving the club to join the Dabbers in 2016.

Since then, club captain Stair has made 206 appearances and scored 23 goals for Nantwich Town.

A fan favourite, the defender played a key role in the club's back-to-back Cheshire Cup victories and their impressive FA Cup campaigns.

Stair was awarded Nantwich Town's Player of the Season on two occasions in 2018 and 2022.

He leaves the Dabbers after six years of service to return to Potteries Park.

Hanley Town currently sit in 12th place with 10 points from seven games.
