International duo called up

EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Frickley Athletic have congratulated striker Zeph Thomas and defender Jameel Ible on their latest international call-ups.

The Blues announced on Friday that duo had been selected to represent St Kitts-Nevis in international friendlies against Andorra on Thursday 12 November and then against Estonia in Tallinn on Tuesday 17 November.

In a statement congratulating the pair, officials said they are due to link up with the St Kitts-Nevis squad on Monday 9 November and return to the UK on Thursday 19 November.

Central defender Ible, 21, originally arrived on loan from Guiseley before signing for manager Karl Rose on non-contract terms.

Striker Thomas, 25, kicked off his career at Rotherham United before moving on to Ilkeston, Emley, Harrogate Town, Rossington, Stocksbridge PS, Mickleover Sports, Goole and Boston United as well as Montegnee in Belgium and Thunder Bay Chill in Canada.

In other news, Rose has added two more players to his squad ahead of the weekend with the signing of Brad Grayson and Brett Lucas.

Striker Grayson, 22, returns to the club having previously scored 12 goals in 29 starts and 21 substitute appearances for the Blues from 2011 to 2012.

He has since had spells at Matlock Town and Stocksbridge Park Steels as well as Ange IF in Sweden and Loyola Meralco Sparks in the Philippines.

Defender Lucas, 23, is a former Doncaster Rovers Youth team captain who joins from AFC Mansfield. He has previously played for Retford United and Stocksbridge Park Steels.
