Kendal extend Non-League Day

Kendal Town

Kendal Town have become the second Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club to build on the success of October's Non-League Day.

Like Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division rivals Marine, the Cumbrians have extended their special discounted ticket offer for fans of professional clubs until the end of the campaign.

To boost crowds at the Cosy Seal Stadium Kendal say supporters producing a valid season ticket for a Football League or Premier League club will be admitted at the turnstiles for £5, the same price the Mariners are offering to supporters on Merseyside since extending their own discounted deal two weeks ago.

Kendal's Secretary Craig Campbell believes their 'Super Non-League Deal' has great potential in their area. He said: "Many local South Lakelanders support League sides Carlise, Morecambe, Fleetwood, Preston and Morecambe. When their teams are playing away they now have the opportunity at a reduced cost to also come along and support members owned Kendal Town AFC.

"Former Premier League star Lee Ashcroft is assembling an exciting, competitive and young side for our not for profit community based club who play some fantastic football and are always entertaining to watch. So our message is come along and try out Non-League football. Support Kendal's Mintcakes with all the immediacy and energy they bring and you will be glad you did."

Non-League Day was supported by clubs up and down football’s Pyramid for the third year running. Organisers asked clubs to help attract new fans and raise awareness of the Non-League game by offering free or heavily discounted admission to season tickets holders at Premier League and Football League clubs.
