Lancs fixture frozen out

Six of Ramsbottom United's young stars have seen their hopes of representing Lancashire on Saturday in an Under 18s representative fixture dashed by the arctic weather.

Sam Milton, Matt Warburton, Sam Crook, Ryan Boulton, Michael King and Callum Smith were all in the county's 15 man squad to take on the North Riding FA at the County Ground, Leyland.

The Rams' Luke Bradbury was also on standby for the Northern Counties Youth Division Two fixture which was postponed on Thursday with the adverse weather conditions expected to continue into the weekend.
