Leek Town are launching a new a football scholarship programme that kicks off at the start of next season.
The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Blues say the programme will hand a unique opportunity to talented male footballers aged 16 to 18 to pursue a two year football and education scholarship while playing in the Conference Youth Alliance League for Leek Town.
The Evo-Stik NPL First Division South side say the programme is ideal for anyone looking for a first class education leading to university entrance or qualifications to work in the sports industry. Scholars will train and compete in a professional sports environment with Leek's community coaches led by Steve Kell.
To ensure they are fully prepared for the future, the programme includes a full-time education package incorporating the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma, worth up to 3 A Levels. All coursework will take place at Harrison Park under the direction of experienced education professionals in a bespoke Virtual Learning Environment the club is preparing.
