Loan star wants league opportunity

By David Watters

Southport are looking to send defender Jacques Kpohomouh out on loan in the EVO-STIK League.

Sandgrounders secretary Ken Hilton contacted the league on Wednesday to say the 20-year-old central defender was being made available by manager Kevin Davies to help him get more game time.

Guinea-born Kpohomouh kicked off his career at Irlam FC, winning promotion to the North West Counties Premier Division and the league’s Player Of The Season Award. After a brief spell at Bangor City, he spent last term at Radcliffe Borough in EVO-STIK League North and is pictured collecting the 'fans' Player of the Year' accolade at Stainton Park in May.

Clubs interested in the former Crewe trialist who was signed by former Southport boss Alan Lewer back in June are asked to contact Davies direct at Haig Avenue.
