The 24-year-old became the club’s first-ever league goalscorer in July 2021, with a strike against Burscough ensuring that Arnasalam’s name would forever be etched into the history books.
However, he suffered a serious knee injury three days later, and upon working his way back to fitness he enjoyed a loan spell at Mossley towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
After training with a number of National League clubs, he signed for Garwood before joining NWCFL side AFC Liverpool.
Previously, Arnasalam was in the U14s team at Preston North End, before spells at Marine, AFC Liverpool Bury AFC and Lower Breck.
He has also represented Bolton Wanderers U23s, Warrington Town, Skelmersdale United and Burscough - as well as featuring in Robbie Fowler’s Liverpool-based Academy.
“Ever since I left Macclesfield, it’s always had a place in my heart and I’ve always wanted to come back,” he said following the move.
“I felt like I had unfinished business here.
“Hopefully I can kick on, train hard and get myself back in the squad.”
