Nailers spread the word at food festival!

Volunteers from Belper Town were out and about spreading the word about their EVO-STIK League club at the Belper Town Food Festival on Sunday!

The event, which included a classic car exhibition and a number of stands celebrating real ale, drew thousands of people into the Derbyshire town and officials say they enjoyed a 'very successful' day promoting last season's First Division South play-off champions at their own display stand branded with the club's colours.

More than £300 was also raised at the festival through the sale of club merchandise and a raffle for a BTFC season ticket to see the Nailers in top flight action when the new campaign kicks off in August.

A club spokesman said: "Big thanks go to Ian Featherby and Alan Rodgers who organised and manned the stand and also to Neil Laughlin and Rachel Carlisle for standing in as well, when our two stalwarts enjoyed a well-earned break. Feedback from supporters and the townspeople was fantastic and the glorious sunny weather made it a perfect day."
