Warrington Town's latest Vice President Paul Taylor is urging the community to get behind the club to help the Wire's bid for promotion and turn the Wire's dream of eventually reaching the Football League into reality.

Taylor, from Risley's Taylor Business Park, was appointed this week and is also a board member at the Evo-Stik NPL First Division North club's new LiveWire Orford Jubilee Hub training facility.

He said: "I would urge local people to support your local community club and get involved. It's an exciting time to get involved with Warrington Town and a promising season for them.

"There have been lots of changes and hopefully the club can keep the momentum going. The use of the brand new, state of the art LiveWire training facilities at Orford Jubilee Hub gives them access to resources unheard of by other clubs of the same division and even higher."

The Wire hammered New Mills 6-1 away on Saturday and Taylor, pictured, believes the new facilities are already paying off for manager Shaun Reid who's turning them to his advantage.

He added: "I have seen first hand the new manager pushing the new players to their limits at training and let's hope they can use some of the Olympic inspiration that's in the air to put on a 'greatest show on earth' of their own for us this season."

The Wire's newest Vice President was welcomed at the club's Abacus Solicitors' Community Stadium by Chairman Gary Skentelbery.

He said: "I have known Paul for a number of years and know he is passionate about Warrington and the local community. We have a growing number of Vice Presidents who are all well connected in the local community and are great ambassadors for what we are attempting to achieve."

Warrington are at home to Curzon Ashton tonight [Tuesday] in Evo-Stik NPL First Division North.
