New sponsors on board

Carlton Town are celebrating the signing a second major sponsor for the start of the new Evo-Stik Northern Premier League campaign.

The First Division South's Millers announced on Wednesday that Nottingham-based accountancy firm Woodside Management were on board as a key club partners alongside main sponsors MSR Newsgroup. Their latest deal comes within weeks of announcing their new partnership with Costa Coffee, the national coffee shop chain.

Millers Chairman Mick Garton says their latest sale of a sponsorship package includes a capital input, a commitment to take tables at Carlton Town functions and to support future community and matchday events at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.

Carlton's Chairman couldn't contain his delight when announcing the deal, calling it another major boost as they prepare for a new campaign.

He said: "This coming on the back of the Costa Coffee partnership is a major boost for us going into a new season and after a long and fruitful meeting with [Woodside's] Richard Daniels, it is clear that like me, he is a football man through and through who wants to put back in.

"Like myself, he is a Nottingham Forest supporter as well and teaming up with him gives me great pleasure. I can’t wait to work with him during the coming season for the benefit of Carlton Town to hopefully help us compete for a place in the play-offs again."

Woodside’s Daniels looks to be sold on the club before a ball has even been kicked. He has taken two season tickets and says he plans to attend as many Carlton fixtures as possible in the upcoming campaign.

Daniels said: "First and foremost I am a football fan, but when I came and saw Carlton Town FC last season I was so impressed with the professional way the team is managed and the great sense of community that comes from everyone associated with the club. Mick [Garton] is obviously ambitious for the future development of Carlton Town and we want to support that in as many ways as possible."
