Off the leash after cup triumph!

South Shields manager Graham Fenton didn't mind letting his players off the leash to celebrate the EVO-STIK League club's Emirates FA Cup triumph at Darlington!

The EVO-STIK League North newcomers and 2017 FA Vase winners hit the town on Saturday night with their manager's blessing after their 3-0 win at Blackwell Meadows home of the Quakers in the Second Qualifying Round.

Alongside a picture of their players out clubbing after their National League North giant-killing, @SouthShieldsFC tweeted: "The lads are enjoying a well-earned night off after today's exploits!"

Shields chairman Geoff Thompson used his @GeoffTChairman to confirm he was on board too, tweeting: "Well done lads - enjoy your night out. Thoroughly deserved - thank you from all the SSFC fans."

And in an earlier to supporters, the club tweeted: "We hope you're having a good night, Shields fans! Tell us how you're feeling!"

The Mariners, currently topping EVO-STIK League North, go into the hat for the Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying Round draw at lunchtime on Monday with 12 other EVO-STIK League clubs after Saturday's ties. Stourbridge are bidding to join them on Sunday when they host Southern League St Ives at the War Memorial Ground in a 3pm kick-off.
