Scarborough Athletic are planning to back the work of the nation’s biggest mental health charity during their EVO-STIK League clash with Ossett Albion on Saturday.

Seadogs officials announced on Monday that they would be holding an open day at Bridlngton's Queensgate in support of the Scaborough, Whitby and Ryedale branch of Mind, the mental health charity.

The charity’s volunteers estimate that as in all other parts of the UK, one in four people in the locality, or 39,000 people, will experience a mental health problem at some time in their lives.

To support their work, the club will be publicising their efforts around the ground they currently share with their Northern Counties East League landlords and also running a story in the match day programme for the First Division North clash.
