Ossett United sign ex-Nailers winger

Ossett United have signed winger Charlie Reaney from Belper Town.

The 21-year-old made 32 appearances for the Nailers during the 2022/23 season, scoring once.

Having previously come through the youth ranks at Sheffield Wednesday, including making a number of U23s appearances, Reaney was released at the end of the 2020/21 season.

He subsequently featured for Sheffield FC and Hallam FC, prior to joining Belper in August 2022.

“I’m buzzing to be here and can’t wait to get started," he said on the move.

"Hopefully we can be up there competing and getting the club where it should be.”

Manager Grant Black said: “Charlie is a great player, he’s fit and gets around the pitch.

"An ex-Sheffield Wednesday young pro, he played a lot of games last season in the league above so will give us good experience and energy. He’s a great signing for us.”
