Premier Division preview: ‘Battle of the Mariners’ incoming, new dawn for managerial duo

Marine currently sit on the fringes of the play-off places and will be keen to avenge their recent 3-1 defeat to Warrington Rylands sooner rather than later.

A win could see Kevin Phillips’ Shields move six points clear at the top, depending how nearest challengers Hyde United and Gainsborough Trinity fare.

The Tigers welcome Greater Manchester rivals Atherton Collieries to the Project Solar Stadium, while the Holy Blues are on the road to Stafford Rangers.

Elsewhere, there are new dawns for two of the other sides in the divisions, with Lee Attenborough and Steve Cunningham taking over the managerial reins at Belper Town and Ashton United respectively.

Both will visit Warrington this weekend, with second-bottom Belper looking to build on their recent win against Stafford with a trip to Warrington Town, while Cunningham’s Robins will visit Rylands.
