As part of a special promotion between The Sun and the Football Association, the trophy is being sent up from Wembley to the club’s evening training session as Andy Fearn’s side prepare for their trip to Armthorpe Welfare in the cup on Saturday.
The Millers say they can thank the recent arrival of former Manchester City star Shaun Goater as Fearn’s assistant for being in the spotlight as the FA are keen to use him to promote the newly sponsored Emirates FA Cup.
The Stockport Express, Buxton Advertiser, BBC North West and the club’s local commercial station, High Peaks Radio, are all expected to attend a press call at training with the silverware on display from 6 to 9pm.

To reward fans for their loyalty and make the most of the honour in their local community, the First Division North club are opening the training session to the public with supporters invited along to have their pictures taken with the world's most famous and oldest football trophy.
New Mills football secretary Derek Sargeant said: “It’s great news. The FA are sending their own security team down with the cup which will be here for three hours so all our fans and the public are welcome to come down to see it.
"No doubt many will want to have their pictures taken with it and I’ve got my New Mills scarf ready to drape around it!”
The Millers recorded their best cup run as recently as the 2010-11 campaign when they reached the Second Round Qualifying. On the way, they recorded the biggest win of the whole competition that season, a 10-2 Extra Preliminary Round rout of Alsager Town.
New Mills went on to beat Chadderton 3-1 in the Preliminary Round, drew 1-1 away at Curzon Ashton in the First Round Qualifying before winning 3-2 in the replay at Church Lane. The run ended in a 2-0 defeat at home to Harrogate Town who famously played in an all-pink strip that season for charity.
Vic Halom is the only former New Mills player to have ever collected an FA Cup winners' medal after he helped Sunderland beat Leeds United 1-0 at Wembley in 1973.
