Rams announce first summer trial date

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Ramsbottom United have pencilled in a summer trial date for their next intake of youngsters.

Officials at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium say the trial for 16-18-year-olds hoping to earn a place in their development squad will take place on 8 June from 11am to 1pm at Top Park in Ramsbottom.

The squad’s coaches are looking for players in all areas for the First Division North club’s youth team which plays in the Lancashire Evening Post Sunday Football League against Step 7 opposition and youngsters from a number of other Evo-Stik NPL clubs.

A second trial date is also set to be announced by the Lancashire club and a Rams spokesman said: "The successful players will have the chance to develop their skills and prove they have the ability to play for the first team in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League."
