Rams stars look forward to rewards

Ramsbottom United's fans are looking forward to seeing their stars of the 2016-17 EVO-STIK Northern Premier League season honoured on Friday night.

After securing their EVO-STIK NPL First Division North status under manager Mark Fell, Rams chairman Harry Williams, pictured at last season's celebration, will be handing out the accolades again alongside supporters and coaches in then lounge of their cricket club neighbours.

As well as the presentation of a host of awards from 'Clubman of the Year' to 'Supporters’ Player of the Year' and 'Goal of the Year', supporters at the end of season party at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium will also see the club's U21s honoured for their exploits over the 20167-17 campaign.

Tickets for the event, which include a Poe and Pea' supper and disco, are priced at £10 and a club spokesman said: "Supporters are welcome to turn up on the night and pay on the door for what will be the climax of a season where the Rams finished comfortably in mid-table. So plenty going on at what should be a very enjoyable occasion!"
