Roms helping phoenix club rise from the ashes

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Romulus are giving the phoenix club emerging from the ashes of Hinckley United a game on Saturday.

The First Division South's Roms are without a game and are heading to the Leicester Road Stadium in Hinckley to help fans preparing a new team.

Kick off is 3pm with a nominal fee to aid Knitters supporters who are being aided by Supporters Direct in their bid to form a new community trust club and secure a place in the pyramid in August from the Football Association.

Supporters have been mourning the loss of Non-League football in the Leicestershire town since Hinckley United FC went bust last year after years of backroom controversy and crippling debt.
