Star turn to inspire next generation

Motivation will not be a problem for the next generation of stars starting out at EVO-STIK League Ramsbottom United after the youngsters were honoured with a half-time parade in front of fans.

The 2016-17 Ramsbottom United Juniors U7s got all the inspiration they'll need for their season during the club's fourth home win on the spin in EVO-STIK League North, Friday night's 3-1 victory over Trafford at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium.

With the scores level at the break, on-loan Altrincham and former Tranmere striker Tolani Omotola presented the young players with their medals from last term in front of nearly 400 fans before they stayed on to cheer Mark Fell's seniors to their latest success with second half goals from Greg Daniels and Max Hazeldine.
