Symington looks for game time

Workington midfielder Dav Symington will spend time with West Lancashire League side Whitehaven as he rebuilds his fitness.

Symington, 24, has made two substitute appearances for the Reds since his recovery from injury, which the club says has been sooner than expected.

A statement said: "We are grateful to Whitehaven for giving Dav an opportunity, an arrangement we hope will benefit all parties.

"The offensive midfielder can look forward to playing on some new grounds with Whitehaven’s next few games all down the M6."

Meanwhile, veteran defender Kyle May has agreed a dual-registration deal with Penrith.
