FA Trophy Third Round Draw

Tommy Lawson's Skelmersdale United are heading to Luton Town in the last 16 of the FA Trophy and King's Lynn Town will host either Stockport County or Southport after the draw for the competition's Third Round was made on Monday at Wembley.

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's two remaining clubs will bid for for a place in the FA Trophy's Quarter Finals when the ties kick off on Saturday 12 January.

As Maidstone from Ryman One South still have to get through a Second Round Replay at FC Halifax for the right to host Chelmsford City, the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League's two flag bearers are now the lowest ranks sides left in this year's competition.

Evo-Stik NPL First Division North Skelmersdale were rewarded with a money-spinning away tie at the Hatters after beating Conference North Guiseley 2-0 on Saturday while Gary Stetchell's Evo-Stik NPL First Division South Linnets overcame Conference Premier AFC Telford 3-1 at The Walks to set up another home clash.

Both clubs have now banked over £20,000 in prize money from the Football Association and will pick up another £7000 if they win a place in the last eight and take another step towards Wembley.
