Tuesday is trending night on Twitter

The hastags of the EVO-STIK League, Scarborough Athletic, South Shields and Warrington Town were all trending on Twitter this week!

After making the social media platform's UK 'heat map' last weekend, the hastags of the EVO-STIK League and the three clubs were trending during and after Tuesday night's near full programme of league fixtures.

Warrington fans took to social media using @TheYellows after holding on to top spot in the EVO-STIK League Premier with a 1-0 home win over Stafford Rangers while FA Vase-winning winning newboys South Shields were back among the leading posts after their 2-1 win against Colne in EVO-STIK League North made it six wins out of seven for the Northern League champions since coming up. The #SAFCLive hashtag of the Seasiders featured after their 5-2 win at Ossett Albion took the club up to fifth in the division.

EVO-STIK League social media manager James Heyes confirmed: "In many ways the figures were even more impressive than on Saturday with the new iPhone announcement and the hurricane in America and the Caribbean."
