Loughborough Dynamo should be celebrating being in second place in the EVO-STIK League's First Division South table after edging out Chasetown at home and seeing leaders Sutton Coldfield Town lose to neighbours Coalville Town on Tuesday, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Instead, the club is reported to be looking for a new manager after still unconfirmed reports on Wednesday that manager Tommy Brookbanks and his management team had left.

On the pitch, Dynamo had come back from being a 20th minute Jon Haynes goal down against the Scholars. Bradley Munn levelled on the half-hour mark, only for Nick Wellecomme to restore the visitors` lead nine minutes into the second half. But a brace from Nathan Watson after 69 and then in the 90th minute won it for the home side.

Jake Woolley`s 10th minute effort proved the difference between Coalville and Sutton Coldfield at Owen Street.

Newcastle Town moved into third spot after a 5-3 win over Market Drayton Town and Gresley FC`s 2-1 defeat at Spalding United.

At the Lyme Valley Stadium, Aidan Haughton netted a hat-trick for Drayton, including twice giving them the lead, but a hat-trick from Tom Unwin, and goals from Brandon Moores and an Alex Hedley own goal, saw Castle out-shoot their visitors.

Andy Tidwell gave the Tulips a sixth minute lead at the Sir Halley Stewart Fields against Gresley. Mitch Hanson`s 38th minute penalty restored parity, only for Kern Miller to win it for Spalding with 12 minutes remaining.

Stafford Rangers` march up the table was halted slightly by Tividale, who held them to a goalless Marston Road draw.

Elsewhere, Sheffield FC won 4-1 at Carlton Town, thanks to goals from Ashley Longstaff with two, Joel Purkiss and Richard Stirrup – all after Lee Potts had given the home side an 11th minute lead.

Lincoln United also won on their travels, beating third-bottom Brigg Town 3-0, thanks to Andy Hutchinson after nine minutes and second half additions from Kallum Smith and Scott Ruthuen.

The game between Goole AFC and Rainworth Miners Welfare ended 2-2 at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds where new signing Benny Igiehon gave the home side a 32nd minute lead that was quickly cancelled out by Dean Freeman. Jordan Thewlis and Wrens` James Rennalls then swapped second half goals.
