Weather warning issued to clubs

By David Watters

The EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's clubs are bracing themselves for their first serious cold snap of the winter on Saturday.

With a full programme scheduled in all three divisions, club secretaries were put on alert by the EVO-STIK NPL's officials to report the results of any pitch inspections as quickly as possible to minimise possible disruption.

The news comes after freezing weather warnings were issued for the Midlands and northern England by the Met Office on Friday with snow falling on higher ground and temperatures plummeting.

For the latest news on match inspections and confirmed postponements, fans, players and officials should check for updates on the fixtures pages available via the home page.
