But a 3-1 win over Newcastle Town on Wednesday night keeps them in with a slim chance. Kevin Leadbetter gave Vics the boost of an early sixth minute lead at Marston Road with a powerfully struck direct free-kick.

Alex Taylor doubled the hosts' lead with eight minutes of the first half to go with another fine effort. Luke Askey reduced the deficit for Castle on the hour-mark, but a neat header from Josh Amis made it 3-1 to Vics in the final seconds.
