Evo-Stik NPL First Division South

Leek Town moved to within three points of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League First Division South leaders Halesowen Town after coming back from behind to beat Carlton Town at the Bill Stokeld Stadium on Wednesday night – Carlton`s fourth successive defeat, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Jordan Johnson had put Leek ahead on 34 minutes from the penalty spot but Carlton levelled 60 seconds later when Alex Troke headed home a Ben Flynn cross. Troke then scored with a stunning half-volley from the touchline to give the Millers the lead a minute before half-time.

Jordan Johnson equalised on 62 minutes, slotting home after finding himself in acres of space, and Ben Mills won it for the visitors - their first ever win at Carlton - when he put Johnson's cross past Jonathon Viscosi in the 69th minute.

Leek play second-placed Coalville Town in a crucial game at the top of the table on Saturday, while Carlton can still have a say in the destination of the title as they take on leaders Halesowen.
